I loved the apartment-styled layout of the room. Everything about the room was nice and clean. I love having a small kitchen area and a laundry machine in the room. The bathroom had its own separate soaking tub area, much like what you would see at an onsen but at a much smaller scale. I really appreciated being able to do laundry in the room. The small, accessible balcony was a nice bonus to have. The guy checking me in was very nice and helpful. I only had two nights booked there and wished I stayed longer. Note: You are given two key cards: a white card and a black card. The white card is to turn on the room's lights, and the black card is to open the door into the section with the guest rooms and to open the door of your own room. Do not forget to take the black card with you when you leave the room. I forgot to do this the first time I left the hotel, since I was used to only have to deal with one card at the other hotels. So when I got back I didn't have a way to get back to my room. Lucky the receptionist guy was still at the front-desk so he let me back in with his master card. It would probably be a good idea for the front-desk to emphasize the two card keys to guests when checking them in.

+ an amazing, wonderful view from the window, we enjoyed a great many sunsets + comfortable beds and cushions, loved the warm puffy duvet + an amazing bathroom with a bathtub, it had a heater and a dryer, so the laundry was dry in a matter of hours, as well as you never were cold during cold winter days, also it had a funny small TV + functional kitchen with all the necessary kitchenware + a washing machine which was great while on a long stay as ours, laundry beads provided + multiple towels which were changed every three days + a big desk and many electricity outlets + very friendly and pleasant staff + for a long stay, the cleaning service is provided every three days

We stayed in the superior apartment and had a fantastic stay. The beds were VERY comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. The room included everything you could need - fridge, kettle, tea, washing machine, laundry soap, plenty of bath towels. The keycard access was easy to use. The air conditioning was cold and a lovely escape from the 38degree heat. The location is a 10-minute walk from the historic precinct around Kiyomizu temple, and a short bus ride to the Nishiki market area. Overall fantastic value for money and I would definitely recommend to stay here.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Gion and right in front of the bus stop from/to the train station. Many 24/7 shops around like 7-Eleven and Lawson. It is in a very good location to explore Kyoto. The room size was great, especially compared to our hotel in Tokyo. We arrived too early for the check-in and we left our luggage in the Sakura Guest Centre close to the train station. It is just a great option for people who are arriving early in the morning and can go directly to explore the city. They transferred our luggage to the hotel free of charge.

Great room close to key sites in Gion/Higashiyama district and also only 25 minute walk into downtown shopping and Nishiki market areas. Good transport options at the front door. Many excellent restaurants along the street in front and a convenience store over the road. The room itself is quite large for Japan and haha onsite and laundry facilities in the room. Reception staff were very kind and helpful with recommendations for dining. Thank you!
